Monday, May 15: No You’re the Wvrst

What better way to start the week than with $5 pints? Add in top-ranked fries, a boisterous atmosphere and lots of great friends to hang with and it almost feels like Friday. Hosted by the Barley’s Angels Toronto Chapter, head to WVRST (609 King Street West) from 6 to 9pm and treat yourself to a wild Monday night. This is a women’s only event, but as always your favourite men are welcome to join after 9pm!

Tuesday, May 16: Future’s Nobody Safe Tour 

This Tuesday head to the Air Canada Centre (not the Budweiser Stage) to party with Future, Migos, Tory Lanez and more for the coveted Nobody Safe Tour. Following a year-long absence from social media, Future made a stunning reappearance on Valentine’s Day with his brand-new fifth and self-titled studio album FUTURE. The set list is said to include iconic tracks: Mask Off, Low Life and Incredible. Seats are still available so purchase your tickets here.

Wednesday, May 17: Untangling the Cosmos

Head to the Ontario Science Centre (770 Don Mills Road) to unravel some of the greatest secrets of the universe with top international astronomy and cosmology researchers and moderator Jay Ingram. Celebrating ideas, innovation and ingenuity of Canada 150, the symposium will discuss major recent breakthroughs in understanding, and explore areas where research is pushing the boundaries to answer some of astronomy’s deepest questions.  Tickets are $15 dollars but free for students with a valid student card.

Thursday, May 19: Culinary Ontario

To kick off a summer celebrating Canada 150, Ontario Place is starting things off with the first ever Culinary Ontario Festival from May 19-22. Celebrate Canadian heritage and indulge in food and drink from across the province. The free admission event will offer a gourmet celebration highlighting Ontario’s diverse culinary culture amidst a variety of activities, entertainment and locally sourced products. Bring your family and friends, take in the incomparable lakeside views, as well as beautiful sunsets, and experience the excitement of our first Ontario 150 celebration.

Friday, May 20: Artfest Toronto Spring Art & Craft Show

Celebrating 150 years of Canadian arts & craft with 80 artists outdoors, live music, children’s art lessons and more, Artfest Toronto returns in its 11th year with a three-day outdoor art exhibition featuring fine artists, designers and gourmet food artisans. Discover sculpture, pottery, glass, jewellery, designer clothing and more. The Distillery District is the perfect setting for the show, where history meets contemporary art, fine craft and photography. Stroll the enchanting cobblestone 19th-century district and enjoy stepping back to a time when everything was hand crafted.
