Monday, January 15: Toronto Design Offsite Festival 2018
January is a time for fresh starts and big ideas for the year to come, so what better way to find some creative inspiration then at the Toronto Design Offsite Festival 2018. Going into its eighth year, TODO takes Toronto’s best art out the the galleries and studios and into the city. Whether you consider yourself artsy or not, it’s the perfect event to get your creative juices flowing for the year to come!

Sticking to our health and wellness goals can be challenging in -30 degree weather. The Sony Centre for Performing Arts understands the struggle. To help keep us accountable they’ve created a free lunchtime yoga program: free fitness and a midday escape from the grind? We’re in!

Wednesday, January 17: Free Screening: Mental Health Series: THE S WORD
During these shorter, colder days, mental health becomes a larger focus for Canadians. Although The S Word is not your usual mid-week pick me up, it is extremely important viewing during these SAD (re: Seasonal Affective Disorder) months. This courageous and significant film is part of the Bell Let’s Talk Mental Health Series, aiming to break the stigma around mental illness. This powerful piece is something you do not want to miss.
Thursday, January 18: Chefs For Change
Chefs for Change has taken everyone’s love for good food and pushed it one step further… feel good food. These incredible events encourage Canadians to eat with purpose, with all net profits going to support the work of Community Food Centres Canada, aiming to build healthy food access and empowering food programs in low-income communities. With four unique courses, appetizers and a special cocktail, this is an event where both your stomach and your heart leave satisfied!

Saturday, January 20: Christian Dior at the Royal Ontario Museum
With Toronto Fashion Week quickly approaching, we could all do with a little inspiration from the fashion gods. Look no further than the Christian Dior exhibit at the ROM featuring everything from luxury daytime pieces to exquisite evening wear. The collection takes a deeper look into how this iconic designer created such a lasting impression on fashion as we know it.
